Fair Housing and Nondiscrimination Notice

Equal Housing Opportunity

This shared-living property is committed to providing equal housing opportunities and reviewing inquiries and applications fairly and consistently.

Housing will be made available without unlawful discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, disability, age, marital status, source of income, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, Michigan, or local law.

The property will not unlawfully use different:

➡️ Advertising or availability information

➡️ Qualification requirements

Application or screening procedures

➡️ Fees or rental charges

➡️ Rental terms or conditions

➡️ Rules, services, facilities, or privileges

because of a protected characteristic.

Applicants will not be selected based on appearance, personality, stereotypes, assumptions about who may “fit in,” or another subjective preference unrelated to the written Rental Qualification Criteria.

Co-Resident Applications

The private-room-with-a-co-resident option is available to any two applicants who wish to share a room and meet the written requirements.

Applicants will not be treated differently because they are or are not married, their relationship to one another, or another protected characteristic. The property does not select or assign co-residents.

Each applicant will complete the same applicable application and screening requirements. Approval of one applicant does not guarantee approval of the other applicant.

Disability-Related Requests

An applicant or resident may request a reasonable accommodation or reasonable modification related to a disability during the inquiry, application, screening, tour, move-in, or residency process.

An assistance animal is not automatically treated as a pet. Disability-related requests involving an assistance animal will be reviewed under the property’s Reasonable Accommodation and Assistance Animal Policy.

A person requesting an accommodation is not required to provide unnecessary medical details. When the disability or disability-related need is not apparent, limited reliable information may be requested as permitted by law.
